The issue is clear. My latest setup functioned smoothly for two weeks until it suddenly stopped working. After that, it would restart briefly but then fail to boot again, even after disconnecting the power supply. Over time, it might work once more but still crashes eventually. I have two nearly identical computers. I've tried everything: swapped GPUs, PSUs, RAM, CPUs, M.2 drives, adjusted power connectors, reinstalled Windows, and ran Intel Burn Test. Cinebench and 3D Mark worked initially, but performance dropped after a short time. The Windows Event Log didn't help much—previous shutdowns were unexpected. All logs lacked details. The main differences now are the motherboards (same issue on both) and CPU coolers (Comp A uses Noctua NH-U12A, Comp B uses Noctua NH-D15). The motherboards are currently under test on Comp A, while Comp B is running a different board. I’ve tried several MSI MPG models with similar problems before and decided to switch again. This build has become incredibly frustrating. Please help!

The issue appears to be a consistent two-week burn-in, meaning the hardware isn’t completely out of the question. Three months would be too long, but two weeks fits. Burn-in events are not very common.

This temporary halt and inability to restart align with overheating concerns (most likely), though battery problems or an aging mechanical drive could also play a role. The drives are inexpensive, so replacing the CMOS battery seems straightforward—test it with a multimeter for voltage output. If uncertain, swap it out and try booting the system.

After shutdown, wait a few minutes, then restart. Open CPU-Z, configure temperature graphs, and set the machine to start automatically.

If it fails to boot, check for legacy mechanical drives and consider transferring data before replacing the motherboard.
