Issues during unplugging
Initially, I wanted to thank everyone who responds or reads this message; your time means a lot. I’m facing an issue where my Wi-Fi disconnects unexpectedly, even when the signal stays strong at full strength. Discord and Steam connections keep dropping despite the bar showing maximum connection. I’m using a TP Link adapter (tl- wn823n), but I’m unsure if that’s the cause. Previously, with a different dongle (Netgear A6210), I experienced consistent lag spikes. I’ve tested various USB ports without success; oddly enough, reconnecting to the router resolves the problem temporarily. If your setup is similar, it might help. Appreciate any suggestions!
Have you verified the activity level of your wireless channel? Being on the same frequency as others can lead to connection problems, similar to shouting over people in a busy room. Switching channels is akin to moving to a quieter space. There are tools available that show how crowded a wireless spectrum is and recommend the optimal channel for use.
Thank you for your response; I’ll take a closer look. Just me and my dad are usually online, but based on what I know, it doesn’t really matter.
