I’ve noticed some problems with games launching unexpectedly. This affects 3D programs like Blender as well. I’ve tried all standard fixes—restarting Windows, changing boot drives, running the System File Checker, reseating GPU and RAM, removing drivers, and confirming file integrity. Still nothing resolves it. I’m unsure if it’s a software glitch or hardware fault. After testing Elden Ring, I saw a critical memory error: the instruction pointed to an invalid address, suggesting possible corruption. My build has been stable for two years until now. When I clean booted, the game worked fine, but crashes appear only when launching. GPU and core/memory temperatures look normal during play, though they’re low in idle. CPU temps are also typical. I’m feeling anxious and don’t have a spare system to replace. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My specs: Ryzen 9 5900X, 2x8GB RAM, RTX 3060, 750W power.

Ensure there are no excess memory modules installed, then test the system using one module to check for stability or problems.

I have just two, but I’ll give it a shot.
