Hello, I replaced my old motherboard and CPU with new ones and added RAM. Windows didn't recognize my digital license anymore and now it prompts for activation. I used the troubleshooter but got stuck on the older hardware. I contacted Microsoft support, but they didn't help. Since I'm in Lithuania, could you share a valid activation number if you have one? Are there other solutions I should try?

Were you using an original equipment manufacturer license? If yes, you’ll have to obtain a fresh Windows installation. OEM licenses seem linked specifically to the motherboard.

The OEM license is linked to a motherboard. Just the retail edition can be transferred to another PC. You’ll need to purchase a fresh license to enable Windows activation.

I reached out to Microsoft support yesterday regarding a server problem that didn’t recognize my system, and they provided me with a free Windows 10 key. Great!
