Hey everyone Smile I'm setting up WordPress on Linux to get the hang of things. I've installed WordPress, MySQL, and Apache, but linking them hasn't worked. The Apache server can't connect to the database. I've tried different Linux distributions and lots of tutorials, but errors keep coming up. The MySQL password issue was fixed on Ubuntu, but not on Mint. Anyone got tips or guides to install WordPress smoothly?

Apache operates separately from MySQL, each functioning as distinct services. The PHP scripts interact with MySQL databases. The specific error message isn't provided here. Setting up a simple web server isn't necessary. AMP works on any Linux distribution.

Check if MySQL is active and your WordPress setup has valid MySQL details. Look at the guides available online for solutions.

No, I did not perform step4. The setup of the database appears to be complete without any issues.

Situation is becoming more complicated. PHP is present, yet phpmyadmin remains inaccessible. Possible issues likely stemmed from online interference, and reinstalling Linux may have disrupted any previous data.

It appears MySQL isn't active on your system. Running `systemctl status mysql` will show its current status.
