Issues arising from overclocking followed by rollback of modifications
Hi, I own an i7 7700k (delidded) and after undervolting it to [email protected] volts, certain games would crash after around 10 minutes. Intel burn test and AIDA64 say the CPU is stable, but most games I play still crash with strange visual issues, mainly affecting 3D titles. I've tried various NVIDIA driver versions, reinstalled Windows, and updated my BIOS. Even when I switched back to default settings, the games remain unresponsive and unplayable. Am I damaging my CPU? Is my GPU failing? It works fine in other situations but not in 3D games. Thanks for your help.

Hi, I own an i7 7700k (delidded) and after attempting undervolting my CPU to [email protected] volts, any game I played would crash after roughly ten minutes. Intel burn test and AIDA64 indicate the CPU is stable, yet most games I play crash with unusual visual glitches, mostly affecting 3D titles. I've tried all possible solutions—different versions of NVIDIA drivers, reinstalling Windows, updating BIOS. Even when I reset to default settings, my games still don't function properly. Am I damaging the CPU? Is my GPU failing? It performs well in other scenarios but fails in 3D games. Thanks for your assistance.
Same issue with my 6600k OC'd unit and it's now working, though when I increase it to [email protected] it causes games to stop.

But cinecench and prime95 confirm stability at [email protected], yet they crash the games.
In Windows Event Logs, it just reports a game crash without explanation.
