I assembled two new units—one for myself and one for my wife. I selected a CPU Ryzen 9 5900x, a motherboard ASUS ROG Strix B550-F gaming board, a power supply from Aresgame 750 80 plus bronze, RAM consisting of two Corsair 2x32 3600mhz RGB Pro modules, and an SSD which was initially an HP SSD eX900 M.2 500GB. When attempting to resolve the problem, I suspected the issue might lie with the SSD. I upgraded to a 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 SSD after replacing it. The case used a Thermaltake Vara N24 Mid Tower model. The newly installed fans helped lower the temperature, and the cooling unit was black with a halo design. Both systems were initially running at 1060 GPUs. I used MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ti with 8GB GDDR6 RAM and connected it via an RX 6600 with PCIe Gen 4. My wife’s system had a hard drive and Wi-Fi PCIe, but after unplugging them, I rebuilt everything. It booted perfectly the first time. Ironically, I initially tried to fix her setup by changing the BIOS settings to CSM mode, which resolved the issue temporarily. However, shortly after, it crashed due to CPU overheating. I attempted to reinstall the OS from a USB drive, thinking it might be software corruption from her old board, but the process failed to complete and no changes were saved. Eventually, I decided to replace the SSD as well. It seemed the power supply unit was faulty. If anyone has suggestions, I’d really appreciate it.

i re-applied the thermal paste just in case i didn’t get it right initially. it didn’t solve the problem; i have a standard low-profile fan. i also have a new copper pipe header with an open fan port.

There isn't anything mentioned about cooler or case cooling. The focus is on preventing overheating.

Heat might have caused harm, making the cooler too small for the CPU. It makes sense that it overheated.

I hope not, but we'll see if I've spent 9 hours on it. What might have been affected? I could swap my PC components with hers to check.

I was using a previous Windows 10 USB installation, and I changed it to the latest version. I had to adjust my SSD to GPT format using commands. Now it functions properly! Lol

Currently, everything is holding steady at 42c. I'll monitor it closely. What should the temperature be during high demand?
