I’ve switched from inspecting the motherboard to swapping out the graphics card. Even checking for temporary glitches didn’t help. My brother’s system runs on a B450 Tomahawk motherboard with 16 GB of RAM, but it still struggles. The performance feels okay during testing, yet games frequently crash and bring him back to the main screen. I suspect faulty data from the built-in XMP Intel profile in the RAM might be the issue. What do others think?

The usual main cause for a computer freezing on startup, excluding overclocking, is memory issues. Power supply problems are becoming more frequent as well.

It doesn’t cause system crashes, it simply terminates your session from the games.
