Issues arise when games encounter A-XMP.
PC build completed in October 2020. Details listed below. Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 3.6GHz, 8-core CPU. Cooler: Corsair iCUE H150i RGB PRO XT, AM4. RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB/3600MHz. Storage: Corsair MP600 Force Series Gen4, 1TB. Graphics: MSI GeForce RTX 2060 Super, 8GB VRAM. Case: Corsair 4000D Mid-Tower ATX, 750W PSU, Corsair CW series. Additional fans: two ML120 units. PC performed well with Genie OC and A-XMP settings until recently. Games would crash at startup or display splash screens/menus. After updates, memory profiles were adjusted to A-XMP but disabled. Current issue: RAM clock speed is 2133MHz instead of the rated 3600MHz. I’m familiar with PC hardware and troubleshooting, but not an expert on memory. Personally, I suspect faulty RAM, though it might only fail in OC mode and function normally otherwise. Help would be greatly appreciated—I’m exhausted from trying to fix this and not seeing the expected performance.
Yes. Disable XMP, everything functions properly, XMP leads to excessive problems.
