Hi everyone,

I just put together my computer with these components:
ASUS x570 ROG Crosshair Viii Formula
AMD 5900x
ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 Ti ROG Strix
Gskill TridentZ 4x8 GB 3600 Mhz DDR4
Phanteks P500A case.

It started working properly, entered BIOS, and adjusted the RAM frequency to 3600Mhz. Then I accidentally used the EZ-Tuner. After applying the profile, it failed to post again. I reset the CMOS, and everything returned to normal except for two issues—both related. First, the RGB on the case fans and motherboard stopped working. The fans themselves were fine, and I managed to set up fan curves that helped them run well. But when connected to the ARGB header on the motherboard, the lights didn’t turn on at all. Removing them from the header fixed it, but plugging them into the 3-pin ARGB header on the board stopped the function entirely.

I’m wondering what caused this. Was there a setting I missed that completely disabled the RGB? It seems to be handled in BIOS—do I need to adjust anything there? If so, how would I fix it?

Also, if I can control the lights through Aura, I’d like to synchronize GPU, RAM, motherboard, and fans perfectly.
Thanks for your help.

Hello, I'm checking if the Aura Sync app functions properly. It's possible your recent actions affected it. Have you attempted to reinstall it?

The effects from the EZ tuning were transmitted through the BIOS before the OS was set up—it was a clean installation. The issues with the motherboard lighting and fan lights appeared before Aura Sync was added. After installing the OS, Aura Sync appears to manage RAM and GPU indicators properly, but it doesn’t interact with the motherboard at all. Interestingly, both ARGB headers on the motherboard are Gen 2 (ASUS standard), yet Aura Sync only recognizes Gen 1, which is puzzling.

The methods I attempted without success included:
1) Changing fan connections between ARGB headers (ADD GEN2_1 and ADD GEN2_2)
2) Adjusting BIOS settings, setting APM Configuration and ErP Ready to Enable(S4+S5)
3) Configuring RGB LED lighting so "When system is in working state" is All On and "When systems are in sleep, hibernate or soft off states" is Stealth Mode
4) Shutting down the PC, unplugging it, pressing the “Clear CMOS” button for 15 seconds, then restarting
5) Reflashing Aura, which prompted the ASUS Aura update tool to display: Loading Aura FW… OK – Didn’t find any Aura MB devices
