The CPU supports DDR4-2666 operation. Intel doesn't ensure performance beyond the official specifications, and any issues are your responsibility. It's similar to purchasing a vehicle and later making engine modifications—your choice determines stability. If the system is designed for 350 HP, adding more power can cause problems; small increases like +5 or +100 HP may be safe, but larger jumps risk instability. On my i7-8086K, DDR4-2666 is officially supported, yet I'm using a custom DRAM OC without XMP and running 32GB at DDR4-3600. XMP only works with DDR4-3000, so a DDR4-3200 with XMP isn't recommended. If stability is critical, avoid pushing beyond the rated limits.

Sure, I understand. The PC freezes when you try to run XMP. It usually takes around 5 minutes and sets RAM to 3200 MHz, but it only reaches about 2666 MHz. You might need to adjust the voltage manually for it to function properly.

The kit's DRAM voltage rating at XMP enabled is approximately 1.35V. The standard DRAM voltage is 1.200V according to JEDEC specifications.
