When using YouTube videos, test various browsers to check performance. Turn off all plugins and see if hardware acceleration works. On your Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 laptop, you experience smooth 4K playback with just 13ms download time and 400mbps internet speed.
Initially, your problem with the 9900ks stemmed from poor internet connection. That build was fine. Secondly, the difficulties you're facing with the 9800x3d seem related to unstable RAM. Try disabling Expo, using JEDEC speeds, and check if the issues resolve. If they disappear, you'll need to manually adjust your RAM timing.
I encountered another problem while playing heavy games like Cyberpunk 2077, Avatar: The Frontiers, Horizon Forbidden West, and when I pressed W to move forward, I ended up stuck if I released it. It’s frustrating because pressing A or S to stop causes the character to veer off or reverse. Could this be related to memory issues or is there something wrong with my setup? On the internet side, the ISP is investigating the issue and has been conducting more tests. Ping values are consistently between 20 and 7178.
I disabled EXPO and tested it on a standard 4.8GHz processor. The same delay appeared after a day, and it was even worse in GTA5. I reverted to BIOS and turned EXPO back on. Still, in GTA5, it seems like nothing works properly—anyone have any hints about the problem? Is it related to Windows or the BIOS?
Yeah, I'm with Satan, the buggy controls in games is probably a peripherals issue. Unplug everything USB and just plug mouse in one port and the keyboard into a different stack of USB ports (ports on top of one another can share bandwidth The YT issues are down to ping times. 136ms is insanely high. Do you have a VPN? Is there a hop somewhere that is over wifi? I'd be interested in seeing the results of running "pathping 1.1.1.1" in CMD (blur your home IP address/ don't include the address column) Can you boot a live linux environment and see if your internet problems persist there?
I haven't tested other gadgets. I've used a brand-new software for the mouse/keyboard, cleared out all unknown mice/keyboards in the device manager, but the issue persists. (Don't worry about the paper and the cat bed/brush—it's freezing really cold). This video shows the weird control behavior: pressing a button triggers something that keeps happening without stopping. The ISP says a faulty device on their side is causing the problem and they need to fix it soon. Until then, my internet will be terrible—pings going up to 7000 at times. The mouse/keyboard controls are really frustrating me, and I'm worried about hardware/bios issues. I might try other devices next.
It seems the USB problems are more likely connected to the motherboard rather than the CPU. If you're unsure, checking the motherboard documentation can help clarify.
