Hello, I’d appreciate your insights on this matter, as it seems there might be something missing. My PC is a year old, and the problem began about a month ago. At that time, I noticed visual disturbances on my second screen—artifacts and glitches only appear when media is being played, such as YouTube or Twitch. They also occur when I open File Explorer, but not during screen recordings. These issues have caused the PC to crash twice.

To reproduce them, specific conditions must be met: a game is running on the main screen, I switch to another window or monitor while the game is active (especially with multiple games), and certain settings are in place. Despite updating drivers, rolling back GPU drivers, reconfiguring cables, changing monitor settings, and even performing a clean Windows install, the problem persists.

Recently, updating the BIOS seemed to help significantly—issues dropped from constant interruptions to occasional flashes or green lines, five to seven times a day. Now I’m unsure what’s causing it, as nothing seems to resolve the matter and I don’t have other components to test. The fact that it only happens on the second monitor and that the BIOS update greatly improved things makes me suspect a hardware issue.

The PC remains under warranty, but I’m concerned about leaving it in the store without a resolution. I’ve already reached out to others who reported similar problems, especially around mid-August. It appears many users are facing the same artifacts with AMD GPUs like the RX6800 or 6800XT.

For reference, here’s what I have:
- Motherboard: Asrock x670E Steel Legend
- Processor: Ryzen 7600
- Graphics: XFX RX6800XT
- Cooling: Cooler Master 750w Gold
- RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR-6000MHz
- Storage: KIOXIA Exceria Pro Gen4 2TB 3D TLC NVMe
- Monitor: Extended-ATX Corsair iCUE 4000x
- Main display: Xiaomi 34" (1440p, 144Hz)
- Secondary display: Dell 27" (1080p, 75Hz)

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Doctor House is famous for its unusual habits. It isn't just about AMD GPUs; some forum users faced issues with two monitors operating at different speeds. Have you tried matching the monitor frequencies to see if it resolves the problem? In any case, I don’t have a solution for this. Getting another monitor with identical refresh rate might be the only option I know of. Good luck!

Hello, thanks for your input. Concerning your questions:
- I attempted to set both monitors at the same refresh rate but faced difficulties.
- I experimented with different cables and monitors, yet some users still encountered the problem.
- Others managed to resolve it through numerous adjustments, often losing clarity on what worked.
- Recently, I found a discussion on AMD forums indicating that at least two users fixed the issue by reverting to an older driver version (22.3.1).
- It seems that newer drivers, which previously functioned smoothly, are now causing problems.
- I haven’t tested every driver yet, but I’ve tried the last six releases; only the mentioned version (22.3.1) seemed effective for me.
- It’s interesting that recent updates appear to be impacting users who previously had no issues.
