Good morning everyone, I purchased the following components three days ago: RTX 4080 Gainward Phantom with driver 528.49, Ryzen 5 7600X, Asrock B650 PG Lightning BIOS 1.09, Kingston Fury Beast 6000 MHZ, 36CL, Kingston KC3000 SSD, Krux Generator 850W Plus, Gold Display 2560 x 1440p at 240 Hz with Re-bar enabled in BIOS. I selected the EXPO 0 profile for the 6000 MHz 36CL. My results are attached. I’m curious why my maximum TDP is consistently 70% even though my GPU load stays between 99-100%. In games, especially Battlefield 2042, I see 80-110 FPS at 1440p ultra with excellent performance, while benchmarks show 150+ FPS—this gap seems significant. Also, the GPU draws about 170W, which is within normal limits. Since I’m new to PC gaming and used PS5 and Xbox Series X before, I don’t want this to discourage me. I hope my questions are clear but I’m wondering why the SSD details are missing. Thanks for your help!

Join the discussions! What does HWmonitor indicate is restricting the GPU? Considering the PSU maker isn’t listed among the tiers, it seems they might not be receiving sufficient power.

Thank you for the update. Here’s a clearer version of your message:

I appreciate the screenshot from HwMonitor showing FurMark running. It helps me verify the GPU limits. Regarding the PSU, the PC store representative said it should be sufficient and is fine. I followed their advice. Could you confirm if the PSU is installed correctly? In my view, the KRUX 850W logo appears upside down, and the power connector orientation might affect efficiency.
