It's frustrating with the RT Ax88U, but switching to the U6 Lite or even a wall-mounted U6 could help.

It's tough to stick to walls because of the surface texture and grip.

I experiment with various hard drives, and once the router nearly failed, it required rescue mode. I won’t use that again.

The mounting options feature rubber feet designed specifically for wall mounting. Beyond that, selecting the appropriate screw size and drilling two holes at the correct spacing in the wall becomes necessary. Is this phrasing clear? We initially discussed wall mounting, then shifted to hard drives, and now we're considering mesh Wi-Fi—this device doesn’t seem well-suited for it. Do you have a question, or are you just expressing frustration?

RT-AX88U RT-AC88U mount for wall by Ledude1 available on Thingiverse. Alternative method: detach two feet and check the gap between screw holes.

The router's back panel seems a bit awkward. Would you like this type of installation or an AP mount?

It seems you're suggesting a name change to "not an engineer48" for someone who struggles with mounting routers, noting that most access points use the same method.

Most APs I observed had mounts on ceilings, such as Aruba and Unifi, while only about 10 percent were installed on walls.

I can place the router on the wall, but each time I need a new antenna or NAS, it tends to fall off easily.
