You just received a 3200MHz Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO RAM for Christmas, but XMP isn't functioning properly. It's showing 2133MHz even though it's rated at 3200MHz. Selecting XMP causes your PC to fail to boot, while the older RAM worked fine at 3200MHz. You're unsure why this is happening.

Do you have the complete specifications for the system?

The chipset version is crucial and often overlooked. Models like X570 and B550 matter significantly.

Memory controller supports up to 2933mhz; consider this frequency instead.

The FlareX Ram performed well at 3200mhz in XMP mode, but it doesn’t seem to be working properly now.

Based on the memory IC type (such as Samsung B-die, etc.), the memory controller might struggle more with RAM handling. You could attempt adjusting the SoC voltage, but I recommend consulting someone more experienced with 2000-series Ryzen for guidance on voltage settings. Consider using a Ryzen RAM calculator to check recommended SoC voltages as a reference.

I just verified it works at 2933MHz, but I think 3200 would be better since that's what I paid for. Appreciate your help—it’s frustrating it isn’t functioning properly.

I might consider upgrading to Bios version 3.10 from your support site https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/X570 phantom Gaming 4/index.asp#BIOS Newer bios versions can improve RAM compatibility, but I didn’t recommend the higher versions unless you plan to use a 5000 series CPU.
