Issue with Windows 10 firewall settings Technical problem affecting network protection on Windows 10
Whenever I restrict a program from using the internet with Windows 10 Firewall Advanced Settings, the inbound/outbound sections always display as checked under Allowed Apps and Features. A checkmark next to an app indicates network access through the firewall. As shown in the first screenshot, Evil Within is listed in Outbound Rules but still appears in the allowed section. In the second and third screenshots, removing the checkmark disables the private/public blocking rules, though the domain rule remains active. It seems the process might involve more than just setting default firewall settings. Are you only supposed to adjust outbound connections while leaving inbound rules untouched?
I'd opt for Comodo Firewall. It's simple to manage blocked and allowed apps. Much better than Windows Firewall.
