Issue with WiFi and Bluetooth after a storm power outage
Hey there, just had a storm pass by yesterday that made our power flicker. It wasn't the first time this has happened lately. My PC is protected by a surge protector, but when I powered it up, I lost my WiFi connection—built right into the motherboard. I opened Device Manager and saw the Realtek Bluetooth Adapter flagged with a yellow error symbol. I thought maybe Code 43 was the issue, but I didn’t dig deeper. After removing the driver and checking for hardware changes, it reappeared. I restarted the system, but nothing worked. In Device Manager it wasn’t listed at all. Windows settings showed it under Hardware and connection properties, but marked as Not Present with a picture attached. I tried flashing the BIOS on the motherboard, but that didn’t help. Plus, my PC won’t sleep now—it shows a q-code 33 and USB hotplugging fails. The motherboard is past its warranty, so replacing it isn’t an option. If I bought a new WiFi card, I’d be worried about damaging other parts. Any advice would mean a lot!

It seems I missed the simplest fixes: switching it off and on once more. Completely disconnecting the power source and giving it time cleared everything up. Duh...
