Hello Forum, from the title you shared, I'm facing issues with video playback. I recorded it in 2K at 60FPS using ShadowPlay, and played it back at the same resolution on a 1080p monitor. My facecam was capturing at 1080p with 30FPS. After editing today, I applied a custom template with these settings: https://imgur.com/uv...bpC98lt,gCnVDLE. First, it seems the system isn't recognizing my GPU. https://imgur.com/uv...C98lt,gCnVDLE#1 Secondly, when I click 'Render' with this template, the output appears as shown in the second image. https://imgur.com/uv...C98lt,gCnVDLE#2 It still renders using the default mp4 preset. I'm using Sony Movie Studio 13 Platinum (from Steam). Could anyone assist in resolving this? Thanks!

Avoid using your GPU for rendering. It's unclear if this will function, but have you experimented with WMV at 90% quality? Additionally, for your post, please apply automatic color; our night theme users need readable dark text on a dark background.

That's a 970 STRIX, your only GPU.
It's your sole option for rendering—just asking how it fits into your setup.

Prefer WMV over MP4 for rendering. It’s likely you could speed things up using your GPU—try a basic video to confirm. The 970 performs well, but for quicker renders you’d want a card built for that purpose, which is why Linus opts for Quadro.

Also, I haven’t located any .wmv rendering settings besides the standard one that outputs 720p. My parents wouldn’t invest in a Quadro either.

You're missing Windows Media Video in the templates? No need for Quadro—just use your CPU.

YouTube can handle h.264 videos. The provided codec is x264vfw, which uses H.264/MPEG-4 AVC and should render correctly as .avi.

However, with this codec it reaches 2048 x 1440. I’m unable to adjust it.

YouTube accepts both h.264 and WMV formats, but the h.264 version is generally preferred for better quality and compatibility.

Video encoding must always occur on the CPU. GPUs are significantly too inefficient for this task.
