You're experiencing a persistent vertical tear in the center of your screen across both Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain. Despite adjusting graphics settings, disabling and re-enabling VSync, and testing on multiple displays, the issue remains unchanged. It only appeared after restarting Ground Zeroes recently. This seems to be a rare and unusual graphical problem. No one else in your games is affected, which makes it even more puzzling. It's frustrating because you really enjoy these titles, but the glitch is making it hard to continue playing.

Tell me about your current PC configuration. Did you customize it yourself? What are your in-game preferences? This could be useful. Also, follow our topics so you stay updated.

980 ti, i7 3820 3.6 ghz CPU, 1200 watt thermaltake 80 + gold PSU, 16 gbs DDR3 G Skill Rip Jaws. The motherboard is still holding up well, but it’s an ASRock model from roughly 3 or 4 years back. No overclocking has been done. I’ve played the game at 1080p with top settings, but I’ve adjusted and tweaked all the parameters before posting. Thanks for the tip—I’m exhausted, honestly. Just wanted to note this machine runs smoothly across all games currently available, often maintaining 60 fps even when downscaling from 4K or 3K. It seems like a software or configuration quirk, not a hardware problem. It’s odd that this issue only appeared with the first part of MGSV Ground Zeroes last night. I’ve never seen anything like it before.

It seems the NVIDIA drivers have had some issues lately, with frequent updates since Windows 10 was released. This makes it challenging to trust NVIDIA right now, so it's not the best time to recommend them.

I haven't changed drivers since the MGSV game released updated drivers about a month ago. Perhaps I should upgrade to the latest versions now. I usually don't update unless the new ones offer significant improvements, but I'm open to trying it out right now.

It seems you're asking about why someone might not get a certain outcome because of a strong system, and whether they've customized their setup. They also mention not having made any changes to their system.

Updated the drivers and it’s still happening, which is odd. I’m planning to try a few more demanding games to check for any further issues. Recently, I’ve been switching between MGSV and two other titles, but only MGSV had problems. It’s possible I overlooked something while playing the others. I’ll test Crysis 3, Arkham Knight, and maybe some random indie games to see if anything is wrong. I’ll share the findings later.

Tried Arkham Knight and Crysis 3 thoroughly on maximum settings I could achieve. The results I’m seeing on MGSV don’t match what I expect. Probably the Fox Engine just didn’t play well with my setup. I guess I’ll have to adapt, since it’s not a game-breaking issue and the graphics still look fine overall. It’s just really strange—I’d love to understand what’s going on.
