Yeah but the issue keeps happening and I'm really confused about why. Maybe the GPU is actually getting worn out physically and can't handle more demanding games anymore?

The relative performance score indicates that the card outperforms 77% of the GTX 1060s on Userbenchmark. The benchmark score reflects Userbenchmark's evaluation under a fixed load, which the GPU tests run through.
In short, the benchmark score is more about usefulness, while the relative score shows actual performance against others.
