A suitable video card from the past would likely be a 570, offering 1080p at 60Hz—probably just as much as your screen can handle. I believe a more affordable option might exist. Since the CPU has only four threads, running new games will probably be difficult.

There are many factors to consider. It's hard to pin down a fixed price because it changes a lot. I'm not sure which card offers the best value for your needs. I used a 7950, which performed well for 1080p. Maybe that's a good option now. Prices should be more affordable these days.

I spotted the GTX560 TI Special Edition at a reasonable price, so I should check the used market. I was thinking of buying something newer instead. That might not be worth it. The GTX560TI is what I have right now, or maybe a GTX570 would fit better on my budget. What do you think?

The different cards need reviews to explain their features. A lot of work has gone into creating them. Sizes have changed over time, and prices plus stock levels fluctuate greatly.

The motherboard shouldn't cause problems for the GPU. The PSU could be the issue, but it might not either. It depends on the model and whether there are any external power cables. Since we already know the CPU, we can identify one of the three chipset options, all of which support PCIe. I've never heard of a prebuilt unit without at least one 16x PCIe slot. PCIe 4.0 is quite recent yet still backward compatible. You probably have a PCIe 3.0 slot, but it could actually be PCIe 2.0. The exact model doesn’t matter much since even the top cards can’t fully utilize half of PCIe 3.0 and the discussed cards aren’t extremely powerful. The power supply unit, or PSU, is a device at the back of the computer that transforms household AC power into usable DC voltages. It connects via several cables inside the machine to various components. Most cards, even older ones, have a port for extra power from the PSU if they need more than the built-in supply provides. Some cards draw so little power they operate entirely from the motherboard’s PCIe connection and don’t require additional cables.
