Issue with thermaltake pump outlet
Issue with thermaltake pump outlet
Hi guys, so, i bought a thermaltake pr22-D5 plus pump, but i have a problem, it seems the threads are bad, i still have warranty ao i can send it, but the threads seem fine/not damaged, yet it wont fit my fittings nicely, i cant fully attach the fittings, the o-ring doesnt touch the base. I have tried monsoon fittings, and then i bought a g1/4 adapter from ek, 20mm, to see if it woukd fit better ,but it didnt really fit it well. I have not yet leak tested it. But i saw online that Bitspower sells a "npsm adapter", it seems english g1/4 is "npsm" and thats not the same as european g1/4?? i bought it from ScanUk, so it came from UK, do i need that bitspower adapter or just have a defective pump?? Thanks
Well, it looks like the PR22-D5 Plus outlet isn't the standard G1/4 size. Only their 10mm extender fits there, while the others don't. So, for anyone needing it, the best option is to get a 10mm extender. It's only about 11€, but you'll need that extra piece. The rest is still great.
Disclaimer – these phrases are not meant to be taken literally.
You purchased an item from a company described as "defective." TT generally produces shiny, low-quality products, particularly concerning toilets.
Nevertheless, such issues shouldn't occur.
Understanding the problem becomes clearer if you provide images of:
1. the fitting or adapter (to see the thread length)
2. the inlet you are attempting to use
3. the assembled combination with the inlet.
This might be caused by longer threads on fittings or an obstruction around the thread that blocks the wider fitting from being installed. It could also stem from a defective thread on the pump near the end.
Instead of purchasing additional items you don’t need, consider returning the pump and requesting a replacement. As you mentioned, it appears your pump’s fitting heads may not have been milled correctly. Sharing an image or a video of the problem would be very helpful.

I checked some Amazon reviews, focusing on the lower-rated ones. One person mentioned using two pumps of these products and described how they attached a Thermaltake 10mm G1/4 extender to their setup. I recently bought one from Amazon, but after already spending 7€ on an extension, I ended up paying 13.99€ for the Thermaltake one. Since I don’t want to return the pump, I’m worried about shipping it from Portugal to the UK, which would cost around 30€ and take a long time. I expect it to arrive in 8 to 10 days and hope it helps fix my issue. If it works, I’ll share the details so others with the same problem can know.
Wow, how can they not allow for image uploading? Server storage space is a real issue. 😅
I tried various barrow and monsoon fittings but none worked with the pump outlet. Then I bought an EK adapter, but it didn’t fit either—only the tip goes in and the o-ring doesn’t touch the base. Now I ordered a Thermaltake 10mm adapter, which should arrive on the 14th of this month.

I don't see any space between the adapter and the pump. Try a simple test: keep only one other port open, cover the adapter with a finger, and blow air into the open port. If it fills properly, it should work. From what I can see in the images, it should function correctly.
