Hey everyone, I've noticed my desktop search bar has turned into a grey box with no results. When I type something, it just shows an empty grey space. I've checked all the usual fixes—restarting the search, updating Windows, reindexing, and running CMD commands—but nothing seems to help. Have you experienced this before? Any tips or solutions you know of?

Fix or replace the windows. You might be one of the few who could really use an SFC check if you're open to a simple fix I've encountered many times but never after restarting, so repairing windows should likely be quicker than searching for a better way. Edited October 29, 2025 by ItTakes2ToMango
