You recently bought a brand new Corsair DDR4 8GB 2400MHz RAM. After installation, your monitor doesn’t detect video input. The previous RAM still functions and displays the screen correctly. When both are inserted into their slots, it fails to work. Swapping the slots for the old RAM resolves the issue, but inserting the new RAM causes the screen to disappear. Your motherboard model is MSI B250M PRO VH. You believe it supports dual-channel and can handle 2133MHz and 2400MHz frequencies.

No, not necessarily. Both RAM sticks can be from different brands depending on the specifications and requirements.

This might be the issue. If the sticks aren't from the same brand and don't share the same chip types, they probably won't function together. If you're able to start up just with the new RAM, that could help verify it.

During installation of the new RAM, it isn't functioning properly. However, the existing RAM remains operational.

It might not work properly. Could there be any beeps or post codes on the motherboard?
