In the past few weeks I've experienced unusual actions on my PC. At least a few times I was just browsing YouTube, visiting simple websites or playing easy games, only to find that the GUI became unresponsive, or the game would freeze and all audio stopped. Opening Task Manager showed GPU usage at 100% while video encoding and decoding used "-1%"—whatever that means. Windows GUI elements stayed visible (right-click menus) even after they were supposed to disappear, and all GUI loaded slowly when this occurred.

My only option was to manually shut down or restart the PC because Windows 10 froze completely. The GPU drivers were cleanly installed using DDU, and the CPU chipset drivers were freshly updated. This happened after a 4-hour MemTest that showed no errors. I've had this computer in its current setup for two years, and this issue started only recently, with no major software changes or installations.

What could be causing this behavior? It's really frustrating.

I overlooked the details about your PSU and motherboard specifications, including their ages. Could you provide more information? Also, what BIOS version is installed on your motherboard?

My mistake! The power supply is a Corsair HX750W from 2015.
Mainboard is Asus Prime X570-P with the most recent BIOS from their support site.
Storage Options:
C: Samsung 850 Evo 500GB SATA SSD
D: Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD
E: Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SATA SSD
F: Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD
G: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB M.2 NVMe
RAM: I corrected the speed listing—it's actually 3200Mhz.
Before running Memtest, I reinserted the drives and verified the serial numbers; they all match sequentially (last digit 3,4,5,6).
You’re likely focusing on the power supply, but the system handles high or unstable power well—gaming with full GPU usage, menu changes, shader caching, and streaming causes occasional freezes. The issue tends to appear more often under low or mid power (web browsing, 1080p video on one monitor, Twitter on another).
