Last week my computer began showing incorrect time, shifting between 11:00 and 13:45. At 13:45 it would reset back to 11:00. This is becoming quite bothersome. I attempted several fixes: restarting Windows, running a Windows Defender update, using Malwarebytes, power cycling the device, adjusting time zones, and even a full scan by Windows Defender. During the scan it sometimes displayed negative hours. Anyone know what’s going on?

I just swapped the battery and the clock synced correctly. I switched from CR2032 to CR2025, and it should function properly now. The lower capacity of the CR2025 is noted. (Do batteries have a lifespan or expiration date?)

They function, though typically they remain in use for about five years.

I installed a new battery in December 2016, even though it expired, and it seems to be working properly. I think this issue is resolved now—thank you for your assistance!
