Just before switching from Win10 to Win11, your screensaver stopped responding at the timeout option. I was wondering if someone could help identify the issue. When I look up the screensaver settings in the taskbar, it shows the correct configuration, but the installed screensavers are around five or so. In the Personalization/Lock Screen section, I have about ten installed (which is the right amount). However, when I try to switch a screensaver, it either doesn’t change or reverts back to NONE. It seems like two different screensaver settings are conflicting. Interestingly, the screensavers function properly when I preview the settings, but Windows refuses to activate them. Any advice on resolving this would be appreciated.

Do you mean real screen savers or themes? Clicking the screensaver on the lock screen directs me to the default Windows screen saver window.

Join the discussions! Execute a system check and apply fixes using an admin CMD prompt with sfc /scannow.

I know the difference between a Screensaver and a theme, You know at the top of the window, it says Screen Saver Settings. Like I said I used screensaver from the taskbar, I doubt it would show themes, I have done that in the past and it didn't fix the problem, at least under Win10, though it did fix other problems I had on Windows 10. So I doubt it would fix the problem under Windows 11. But I can try it again, and fail...

Could be an issue with the update. It might be time to reset and begin with a new operating system.

The issue existed prior to the operating system update.
