Issue with the screen resolved and fixed.
I'm not certain about the exact name of this phenomenon. A video is attached for reference. Here are some observations: it doesn't occur on the BIOS display, isn't triggered during gameplay, and doesn't show up when using full screen (like YouTube). It seems to appear mainly on the desktop. I've disabled adaptive sync on my monitor and confirmed that both the Windows system and the nVidia control panel use the same refresh rate. I'm curious if a slideshow background might be contributing, though I'm not sure. My setup includes an AMD Ryzen 7800X3D B650 AORUS ELITE AX (rev 1.2), BIOS F20a Monitor, AOC Q27G3XMN RTX 4090 PSU, and MSI MPG A1000G power supply. The issue is quite erratic and was much more severe before I turned off adaptive sync. Even at its worst, it only affected normal desktop use. It's a strange problem that's somewhat bothersome but I don't understand its cause.
Check if your HDMI or DVI cable is securely attached to both the PC and the monitor.
It appears to work exclusively on desktop versions. Not available through Google or File Explorer.
I adjusted a few options and noticed the problem occurred only in fullscreen mode, not on the desktop.
Have you attempted to boost your monitor's speed? If it's running above 60Hz, consider lowering it to 60Hz and let me know if the change works. My friend faced the same problem and I understand how frustrating it can be.
It's just the default 180 refresh rate. I believe you can change it to 200, but 180 works fine for my needs. I've adjusted the display settings on the monitor and think adaptive sync might be the issue. It started causing problems when I first turned it on, especially with games. Turning it off now only happens occasionally on the desktop. I'm not sure if a fix exists.
It's been a few days since I shared this and after testing various solutions...I've finally found the answer. After experimenting with many combinations, I decided to accept occasional random screen glitches, as they only impacted Windows. I didn't touch any videos or games. But I couldn't stop thinking about it. I was really focused on solving the problem. Today marked the moment I discovered the fix. The problem was...WINDOWS 11 ANIMATIONS!!! Yes, turning them off completely resolved everything. I'm not sure if the animations were the cause or if they clashed with my monitor settings or adaptive sync. Either way, stopping them has given me peace of mind!
It's been a bit of digging into the past, but how's the new monitor coming along? Watch out for any black spots—this one seems to have everything I'm after. High refresh rate, mini LED, solid contrast and brightness.
