Hello, roughly a month ago I finally managed to afford a new PC. But honestly, I’m not too pleased with the outcome. I came across some similar issues in other posts, and it seems no reviewer has mentioned it much—even on this forum. The main issue is my computer randomly crashes while playing games or bluescreens unexpectedly. It doesn’t happen during heavy tasks like mid-game, lobbying, or just browsing. It keeps happening no matter the situation. Someone told me it’s due to slow RAM, so I swapped it for a faster 3200MHz model from Corsair. The problem persists, so running memory tests doesn’t seem to help much. My build includes a Ryzen 3600X B450, Tomahawk Max 2x8 at 3200Mhz, and Corsair 1070TI. If anyone has any advice or solutions, please share them. I’ve also updated the latest Windows, NVIDIA drivers, AMD drivers, and BIOS.
Which PSU do you use? Occasionally inexperienced builders choose poor-quality PSUs that can cause the PC to shut down. In addition: -BIOS is current? -Drivers are installed properly? -Everything is connected correctly? Regarding RAM: not much... you might see a slight boost in FPS with a 3600Mhz option, but it's fine and shouldn't lead to crashes.
It’s a 500W model with 80+Bronze specs, which isn’t great. I thought it might cause issues, but could be a real problem? Also, I don’t have the chance to upgrade anytime soon.
I’ve already addressed all the previous queries—yes, I updated my bios, installed every driver, and verified everything is connected properly. Regarding the PSU, I used the "ATX ULTRON POWER 500W 80+ Bronze" model. It performed flawlessly in my other i5 7400 build with an 1070ti processor. No problems have arisen since switching to Ryzen.
Sorry about that. The power supply is really bad. I suggest switching to a better one. This one could harm your gear and might even pose a risk to you.
New setup on my SSD looks good on that side. It seems there were no issues with my old PC for two years, and I’m not too concerned about damages. If something does happen, it’s likely to occur, but otherwise you might want some reliable PSUs since you’re spending a lot.
