I just assembled a desktop with an i5-13600k, 32GB RAM, Arc A770, Asus TUF B660M and SN770 1TB. The build completed smoothly, booting up and all parts showing up. I started the Windows install and finished it without issues. Later that evening I powered off the machine. The next morning when I restarted, the drive wasn’t recognized. After some troubleshooting, I couldn’t get it to show up in BIOS even when using the M.2_2 slot. The Windows installer kept rejecting it, and I tried basic commands in the command prompt too. I’m stuck and would really appreciate any advice or help.

Consider trying to reposition the M.2 if possible. I assisted someone with this setup a few days back, and they faced the same problem—reinstalling the M.2 resolved it.

I’ve moved the M.2 multiple times and tested it in both slots.

Update the reset process and reset your CMOS. This worked for my Z590 board once; clearing CMOS helped it appear again. Also verify your boot configuration to confirm it’s using UEFI, legacy, or both.
