Issue with the old router - forgotten password Q_Q
Hey there, so I just relocated to a new place. My house has a small router (hAp lite rb941-2nd) and the coverage is really poor. I upgraded to a better one, which runs faster. I’m struggling to play YouTube videos even at 480p—there’s a lot of buffering. I’m expecting to get a cable connection to my room soon, but I still need to access the old settings. There’s an issue though: I can’t log in because there’s no default password. My roommates aren’t too concerned about my internet either—they don’t want to use data when I’m on my phone or in the kitchen. They won’t call the provider to retrieve the password or settings (it’s not Wi-Fi, it’s the router). I don’t want my new router just sitting unused. Anyone have any ideas on how to log in or find the IP address for setup? I’m really frustrated and a bit upset. P.S.: I tried logging in with the default username “admin” and all basic passwords—even leaving it blank didn’t work. I’m open to any suggestions or help. If you have a clue, thank you!
