I’m seeking assistance now, as I’ve reached out multiple times without receiving responses. My device is an IdeaPad 3-15ALC6 Laptop, model 82KU, serial PF4DAS6A. I lost the password and was using only the pin. Recently, a Lenovo update introduced security changes, requiring me to enter the password again. I followed the standard procedure: flashed a Windows image, renamed the user interface, created a new admin account, reset the password, deleted the temporary admin account, removed the utilman.exe.bak file, and then reinstalled it. After restarting, the laptop wouldn’t power on—only the keyboard lights up but no display appears. I attempted to discharge the battery and restart via AC power, removed the SSD, RAM, and CMOS battery, but nothing worked. I consulted forums and AI assistants, and a Reddit thread suggested a BIOS issue. I downloaded glcn68ww.exe, extracted it with 7zip, and tried various file names. When I pressed Fn + R, the power buttons changed color but didn’t respond, and no BIOS beeps or fan noise occurred. I’m at a loss and need guidance.
