Issue with the latest release not installing on Windows 11.
PROBLEM: During setup, I face a blue screen when attempting to install Windows 11 on my brand new PC. The process begins smoothly after copying files from the flash drive, but once installation completes, the system restarts with a red X and an unclear error message. I’ve also managed to install Windows 10 without issues, yet it triggers a red X and an unknown error when I restart after finishing. I’ve upgraded my SSD and tested various flash drives, but more details are needed below.
THE BACKGROUND: My brother requested a new PC for his birthday, and I volunteered to assemble it. To cut costs, we initially used components from my previous machine. The original parts list includes a B550-M VDH Pro WiFi AM4 motherboard, a Ryzen 5 5600X with stock cooler, two Samsung SSDs (850 EVO and 860 EVO), 16GB DDR4 memory, an EVGA 500W power supply, a Zotac 1060, and a SAMA IM01 Pro. The 5600X was unused for two years. Before building, I encountered issues with the front panel connector and later a GPU problem after swapping to a newer model. Eventually, I resolved the CPU and GPU issues, upgraded the power supply, and finally installed Windows 11. However, I still face recurring blue screens and errors during installation, especially when old drives with residual Windows 10 files are involved.
I’ve documented every step, part used, and troubleshooting attempt. If anyone has advice or solutions, it would be greatly appreciated.
