Your laptop runs smoothly at a good temperature thanks to proper thermal paste and a cooling pad. The peak temp stays around 84°C, and during gaming it reaches about 78°C without any stutters or drops—everything was fast until recently. Now it consistently hits 65°C even during heavy gaming, and performance drops sharply with every 2-second downclock. Please help, I can't play anything anymore!

I'm using a thermometer to check the temperatures.

MSI Afterburner and the built-in GeForce Experience Reader both display the same temperatures, which you confirmed are 100% accurate.

It might be a faulty sensor; checking HWinfo will show many temperatures in the CPU block, with individual core readings based on your processor.

I'm really exhausted, everything seems fine except for a 100% confirmed issue with my laptop. It might be because I accidentally switched on a wrong performance setting, though I’m not sure which one. Also, it’s not the CPU temperature that’s the problem—it’s the GPU causing the issues.

Have you attempted a restart? It hasn't stopped.

Reduce your BIOS settings to earlier versions beforehand.
