Hello, I see you're experiencing internet issues. Your connection is slow, but speed tests look fine. It seems normal for others in your house, yet lagging occurs during Discord or gaming. You've restarted your PC and router multiple times without improvement. Someone can assist you further.

Your wireless card might not be strong enough.

"Slow" refers to reduced performance or responsiveness, typically measured by latency or speed. For wireless connections, we focus on achieving stable, low-latency performance—often aiming for consistent speeds that meet your application requirements.

Sure, I've been using it for about five months and it's been fine.

I struggle in all games I play, including Discord, though the speed test reads only 20 Mbps, which isn’t great, but there have been no issues with this connection before.

That’s the issue with WiFi—it functions briefly before dropping. It might be another person using the same wireless channel or some external influence affecting the signal. Be careful with USB adapters, as they’re often unreliable.

If I were handling this, I’d first reinstall the drivers, then use an Android Wi-Fi analyzer to check the airwaves. Adjust the router’s position for better coverage—centralized and elevated works best. If that doesn’t help, it might be a poor Wi-Fi adapter; consider switching to a PCIe adapter if you’re using a USB one, as they tend to perform better. When nothing else functions, explore Power Line or MOCA adapters.
