Hi, your MSI Z790 Edge motherboard has a plastic CILP that locks the GPU when cleaning. After removing it and putting the GPU back in without the clip, it still functions properly. It should be safe to use now as long as you avoid bending any pins on the GPU.

It's okay. This situation is pretty typical. You're not the only one who's seen this video. You can operate the PC normally without any concerns—just secure it at the rear and place it inside the case.

It has just stopped working, does this mean I damaged something? My GPU was drooping, so I lifted it higher with a bracket and then the clip came off.

This could be true. Pushing it too high might have harmed something. It's really unlucky if you do. GPU and motherboards are quite sturdy, so the clip isn't essential for the card to work. Remove the card and capture a few close-up shots of the golden pins on the motherboard—check for any damage. Do the same with the PCIE slot.

Thanks for you help i have figured out the problem i think, it seem to be the pcie slot, from what i can the gpu pins are fine, i have managed to get the clip back onto the mobo {albeit temporary) and its working fine for now, but it only works when the gpu is slightly sagging (i tried it on a old mobo and it work fine) I will be buying a new mobo soon Thanks
