Hello everyone, I'm updating one of my desktop's wall network cables. The old one is damaged, so I bought a new CAT 6E cable for about 6 meters. Although the old cable still works at 1GB, the new one only gives around 100MB, which is quite low. I've tried using RJ45 tips before and haven't found a better solution. I'm using T568B on both ends. Do anyone have suggestions?

The question is about whether 100 megabits or 100 megabytes is being used and what method is being tested.

Ethernet works with just two of the four connections, but full speed requires all four. You might be hiding an issue in the wiring. Look for any damaged or twisted sections.

Hey everyone, after a few more tries with the connectors, I’m finally getting it right now. It’s all working perfectly now.

It was always me, the issue with the connector connections was clear.

It was at least a straightforward solution.

This doesn't match your experience with Ethernet wiring. It seems to not be relevant here.

They simplify the process. Just ensure the cutting blade on the crimper is keen; otherwise, the ends of the wires may grow and short together.

I've tried two tools and neither worked well. It seems the main challenge is picking the right connectors and cables among all the options. My results were much better when I bought ten connectors in a store for the same price as 100 on eBay, but now it's hard to trust retailers since they're no longer available.
