Application Error 0xc0000005 (Access Violation) often results from your device failing to handle the necessary files and configurations needed to operate a specific program or installation. This warning appears when attempting certain software, and its origins can vary widely—ranging from damaged RAM to file corruption, PC settings mismatches, and other technical issues.
We recommend investigating potential damage to Windows system files. The System File Checker (SFC) is a built-in tool in Windows designed to detect and repair corrupted system files. If it identifies any issues, it attempts to restore the affected files from a previously saved backup on your machine.
To execute the System File Checker (SFC), perform these actions:
In the taskbar search bar, input
command prompt, press and hold (or right-click)
Command Prompt,
then choose
Run as administrator
>
Yes.
In the command prompt window, enter
sfc /scannow
(ensure there is a space between sfc and /). The process may take several minutes.
If SFC locates corrupted files and replaces them, restart your computer and verify whether the problem continues.
For additional guidance on using the System File Checker, refer to the official documentation.
