I experienced some frustration after the initial upgrade on my second PC didn’t go as planned. To resolve this, I downloaded a Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft and performed a clean installation using the provided files. Most components worked fine, but Nvidia drivers caused ongoing issues. I tried updating the drivers directly from Nvidia and adjusted settings in the Control Panel, but stuttering persisted. Eventually, I resolved it by changing the virtual memory settings on my SSD to a larger size.

I also experimented with different drivers and settings, such as disabling Vertical Sync and tweaking frame limits. However, the problem remained after those adjustments. Someone suggested setting a custom virtual memory range for my SSD. I followed that advice and corrected it, which helped stabilize performance.

Despite these efforts, the issue still lingered. I compared it to older systems like Windows 7, 8, and 8.1, which had similar problems but were easily fixed by adjusting the max pre-rendered frames. This one seemed different, and I wasn’t sure what was causing it.

I’m unsure if the problem is with the operating system or if I missed something. My goal is to overclock on a more reliable machine, but this build isn’t quite stable enough. I’m seeking further guidance to get it working smoothly.

P.S. My mouse middle click stopped working after the first stutter, requiring a restart for it to function again. This issue occurs with both USB and PS/2 connections.

Hey there EliasNM, Since you've checked and none of the loads is nowhere near the 100% mark, I'm thinking this is a driver issue with the OS. I'd try contacting both MS and the manufacturer of the GPU for some suggestions on how to fix this. You can try scanning your computer for memory leaks, but I doubt that this is the problem. Here's some info on that: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library...2147217396 Checking the health of your storage drives can also rule them out as the cause of the problem. I verified for memory leaks soon after my first update. Everything appears normal. The HDD testing used the tool provided, along with some chkdsk results run in read-only mode.

Yes, I would back up the data from the drive and replace it. Do go for the RMA procedure if it's still under warranty. The testing outcome showed a faulty HDD. The lag disappeared, but the issue was linked to the SSD during gameplay. I’m noting this as resolved, thanks to Captain_WD for your assistance.
