Received : New Gigabyte B550 Gaming V2 motherboard
New AMD RYZEN 5 5500 GPU
New Super Flower 750 watt PSU
New G Skill RipJaws DDR4 RAM
Old GPU identification not possible
Motherboard and CPU fans are working, but there is no display on the monitor or keyboard, and the mouse doesn’t work. When powered on, the keyboard and mouse light up briefly before stopping. I tried resetting with a CMOS battery in and out, using one RAM card per slot, but it didn’t work. The RAM was placed correctly. Is this related to GPU compatibility causing no display and non-functioning keyboard/mouse? Could replacing the GPU help fix this problem? Thank you!

Did you only use the cables provided with the PSU?
Is this motherboard compatible?
https://download.gigabyte.com/FileL...e_...8599d792ec
Verify that the relevant User Manual is available.
Read through the entire manual carefully.
Proceed step by step through the User Manual to ensure all connections and settings are correct.
Check: 1) connections are accurate, 2) connectors are securely positioned.

I would definitely try using another GPU and perhaps a wired keyboard and mouse.

Used the cables that came with PSU.
Updated: Swapped out the new GPU - XFX - AMD Radeon RX 580 GTS XXX Edition 8GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card. Still no boot display and no keyboard or mouse working.

I believe the BIOS should be updated to accommodate the CPU. BIOS version F14 is necessary for the R5 5500. The motherboard features a Q-Flash button located on the back I/O.

It is possible to Q-Flash without a boot screen display by using alternative methods such as direct storage access or system-specific commands.

Introduction If your modern DIY desktop PC uses a motherboard from major Taiwanese manufacturers like ASUS, ASRock, BIOSTAR, Gigabyte or MSI, you might be able to update the BIOS without a CPU installed. This article discusses updating your BIOS in such cases. glennsqlperformance.com
