Hi everyone! I have a problem booting my PC. The system power turns on, but won't boot randomly. I need to shut down power and reboot to get the system to boot. After that it runs just fine. After the problem surfaced, I have replaced my GPU, SSD and PSU. Running stock 3200MHz memory and Ryzen 5 3600. MB is MSI B450i Gaming Plus AC. Could it be my memory Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2x8GB 3200Mhz CL16 XMP2.0 v.4.32? I mean it is specified XMP not Ryzen. MSI support tell's version 4.31 is supported but no mention of v4.32... Help plz. -Don

Check the CMOS settings, verify the PSU voltage and age of the system.

I recently assembled a new setup featuring an MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus, a Ryzen 7 3700X, and two 8GB G.Skill RipJaws V DDR4-3200 CL16 RAM. Since enabling XMP (Profile 1 or 2), I frequently encountered the problem you mentioned. I attempted to update the BIOS to the latest version, but it didn’t work. The solution came when I navigated to BIOS > Settings > Boot and changed "Boot mode select" to UEFI. Before doing this, the system would freeze during booting almost every time. It’s been roughly two weeks since I adjusted it, and I haven’t faced this issue anymore because I changed the setting during each boot. I’m hoping this fixes your concern too! Additionally, I’d appreciate any insight into why this adjustment resolves the problem or what might cause it in the first place. I found this setting by chance and was fortunate!

I also adjusted the UEFI settings a while back (learned more about it). It’s hard to say if it fixed the issue since my PC has been running in a folded state nonstop—except from June 3rd to December 6th. I was away, and it restarted on its own, possibly due to a power outage at home.
