Hello,
I’m facing an unusual issue. Whenever I restart my computer, quit a game, or take a break, Windows 10 seems to turn off all sound enhancements. I want the volume equalization active so sounds in games are clear, but it keeps disabling them. Have others seen this problem? How can I resolve it? Even after unchecking the "disable all enhancements" option, the check mark appears automatically when I’m not looking.

What is the model of your sound card? Is it a Realtek product included with your motherboard? What is the model of your motherboard? Which BIOS version is installed? Are you currently using a specific version of Windows 10?

It's an ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E with BIOS version 1802, Realtek onboard sound, and only the Windows drivers installed. The Realtek audio was problematic during installation. I've been adjusting settings occasionally, but it appears Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is altering this configuration each time it launches. It's turning off certain Windows settings automatically. Do you know how to disable these changes or prevent games from modifying them?

I believe this involves sleep-related features. As a solution, you might want to check the device manager for the USB port the device is connected to, right-click it, open properties, select the power management section, and instruct Windows not to shut down that port to conserve energy.
Recent USB standards enable devices to manage their own sleep modes (such as headsets and mice), though older drivers might not respond to wake-up signals from lower-level USB devices.
To resolve this, you’d need to update the BIOS, chipset driver, Bluetooth driver, and firmware on the actual mouse or headset.
Even after updates, there was a noticeable delay—sometimes the game would restart but not fully, requiring exiting and restarting for complete audio. I eventually set Windows to keep the USB port and Bluetooth driver active, which seemed to work around the issue.
