I recently installed a Ryzen 5 2600x on an ASUS prime b450. At first, I was using a 680-watt power supply, but after enabling an OC, some games would crash during launch and the computer would shut down instantly. This problem occurred even on my original rig with default settings, which is why I upgraded to a new PSU. After replacing the old PSU with a Seasonic 750 Prime Gold, the issue persists when I try to set a manual multiplier and save or exit BIOS—it won’t restart. Even after manually setting it to stock 36, the computer fails to boot normally. I can perform basic BIOS changes and adjust RAM settings, but after switching PSUs, I can’t modify the multiplier in BIOS. I can still use Windows’ OC tools without issues, so I’m seeking advice on resolving this BIOS OC problem.

I recommend two steps: initially perform a CMOS reset to remove any settings that might be leading to issues. Then, download and install AMD's RyzenMaster software. This tool from AMD assists in loading and evaluating overclock configurations directly within Windows, allowing adjustments to CPU voltages and multipliers without needing a reboot.
