I don’t understand how to set up port forwarding. I’ve tried reading instructions and watching videos, but nothing seems to work. The settings in Security/Apps-Gaming/Select A Provider show it’s disabled, and the options just don’t change. I’m stuck—what resources should I look into?

A VPN connects by managing network connections, while opening a port is about allowing specific data channels. You’re likely trying to set up a secure communication path. Every router behaves differently, so reviewing the screen can guide the setup.

Decide which single port you want to forward on pic 3 and specify the port number and IP address you wish to use. Clarify your goal—what traffic should pass through this port? You noted a VPN isn’t suitable, but VPNs aren’t directly connected to port forwarding. Opening a port enables data to go around your firewall, making it accessible over the internet instead of being blocked by local protections.

The forwarding screen displays a range of ports forwarded. You should be able to input IP addresses and corresponding ports manually. Are you looking to route specific traffic? Make sure the setup is safe and protected.

I believe the torrent client you're using is intended for online access... Yes, it should be. Pressing the port range forwarding button reveals which display it provides.

I tried using qbit, but it didn’t do anything. It’s the same problem I’m facing. I need to go to work now. The router should reset to its default settings when I return.
