PC began shutting down unexpectedly under stress, similar to two weeks prior, and the issue has intensified. I ran some diagnostics but am uncertain about the cause—possibly faulty CPU or motherboard (VRM). When I load OCCT and run CPU stress tests separately per core, core 4 causes immediate shutdown, whereas lighter loads (small block size, normal core 4 usage) allow it to function longer before rebooting again. The logger recorded 18 events, hierarchy errors, but after a kernel power critical error. I disabled memory XMP and CBS in BIOS to improve stability during basic Windows operation. System details: Windows 10, x64, 3600 MHz, 2x16 GB (2+4 slots), MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus CPU, RYZEN 5900X processor, BE QUIET STRAIGHT POWER 850W GPU, GTX 750 Ti, quiet dark rock pro 4 cooler, and case Deepcool CG540 (excellent airflow).
