Issue with RAM on STRIX B450-F gaming unit at 2133HZ
Hey there, I noticed your PC isn't accepting the new RAM. It worked well with the two 8GB sticks at 3200MHz before, but now it won't boot at that speed. You tried a different set from Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz and even adjusted BIOS settings like DOCP and voltage to 1.37V, but it still caps at 2133MHz. I'm not sure why A1 and B1 are causing the issue—your specs are AMD Ryzen 7 2700X with a STRIX B450-F motherboard, which is great. Let me know if you need help troubleshooting further!
My CPU is an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X but I can't locate the XMP profile, only the DOCP settings are visible.
I don't have access to that information. Could you provide the details or check your device's specifications?
The design is impressive with a wide range of features, but it lacks essential details such as manual core voltage adjustment or an XMP profile. We received a beta BIOS version that includes manual voltage control, though XMP timings still need to be set by hand. This is the first time I've seen a board that doesn't support reading and using built-in RAM XMP profiles.
It seems the RAM isn't listed for that motherboard model. That's why it's limited to a certain capacity. You can find more details on the support site https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/So..._4DIMM.pdf
Not aiming to be rude, but that board is terrible. I bought one and sold it at half price.
