Hello, I need to upgrade my old PC with two sticks of 4 GB RAM from the same brand and type. However, when I try to install them, the system fails to boot past the loading screen and I can't access the BIOS. Placing the sticks in slots DIMM 3 and 4 lets me enter the BIOS, but those slots don’t seem correct for the RAM. Inserting the RAM into DIMM 3 and 4 allows me to reach the BIOS. After that, I attempt to boot into Windows 10, which then triggers an automatic repair screen, followed by a blue screen. Could someone assist me with fixing this issue? The motherboard model is MSIP55-CS53 and the RAM is Kingston KVR16N11S8K2/8.
Kingston Value RAM slot... The right positions for two dual channels are slots 1 and 3. It looks like your offer is a bit mixed up—whether you're planning to run all four sticks or just upgrade the two for an 8GB total, but you say 16GB. If that's true, all four slots should be filled.

However, once I place the RAM in slots DIMM 3 and 4, I can enter the BIOS. I'm upgrading with two RAM sticks totaling 8 GB, not 16 GB. Are there any issues with Kingston Value RAM? If so, please inform me, and then I'll consider replacing the existing RAM.
Well, it's worth testing each stick to be sure one of them isn't bad. The first slot is single stick operation. Test the new sticks individually with memtest. Not that there is anything wrong with Kingston Value ram, it's literally exactly what it means. Like shopping at wall mart and getting the "Great Value" brand cookies over Keebler Elve's cookies. Another thing about DDR3, which I do not think is the issue here, is that some memory is platform specific to either AMD or Intel.
To remove the CMOS, you should follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully. Clearing the CMOS can reset your system settings, so it’s important to back up any important data before proceeding. There are two options available—either use a clrtc jumper or remove the battery. I try both occasionally. Note: My board lacks a distinct CMOS button; instead, the reset switch is connected to the jumper. It functions well, especially when the cat walks on it.
I reset the CMOS, removed the green plastic CMOS chip and reinserted it onto a different pin. I waited 20 seconds before reattaching everything. I even used a screwdriver to touch the pins. After removing the battery and reinserting it, I powered it on but encountered issues. Notably, using DIMM 2 and 1 lets me access BIOS, yet switching to DIMM 1 and 3 triggers a blue screen. When both RAM sticks are in DIMM 1 and 3, the attached file shows a different screen. Both RAM units function correctly. What else should I try?
