I've got Windows 11 installed on an i9 12900k with stock ASUS Tuf 3080 and ASUS Tuf z690 Plus. RAM is Corsair RM 850e (16GB, 8x2). The motherboard is 850W and I've set it up without any extra hardware. The RAM light was on, so I moved the sticks from A2/B2 to A1/B1. I only had one stick left. After clearing the CMOS, I checked the video cable and tried a different one, plus the power cable connections. Still no clear solution.

Did you reposition the CPU or inspect the motherboard socket for damaged pins? The RAM indicator might be linked to a misaligned CPU pin. Those thermal 12th-gen Intel frames assist in confirming the CPU stays secure in the socket and maintain correct communication between the CPU and motherboard.

I haven’t looked for a bent pin, but I have a comparable CPU frame bracket—probably a Thermaltake. It seems I’ll need to disassemble it to confirm.

Inspected the motherboard, verified that CPU mounting screws are properly secured, and confirmed there is no display issue.
