Issue with power source activation.
Issue with power source activation.
Hey, just set up your PC except for the GPU. I tried turning on the PSU and checking the LED lights and fans, but nothing happens—no power supply sound and no fan activity. I’m confused about what’s wrong. Do I need a GPU for the PSU to activate? Also, my CPU is installed, I bought a case with built-in fans, and I’ve followed manuals, but it still doesn’t work. Can you help me figure this out?
Your setup appears complete based on the details provided. You notice the lights and fans activating properly. The F SKU CPU lacks an integrated graphics unit, meaning no visual output on the screen until you install a GPU. Since your description indicates no GPU is present yet, you may need to wait a bit longer unless you have a temporary placeholder GPU available.
the pc should start up without a video output, even without the gpu. ensure the psu is firmly connected to the wall outlet, verify the power switch on the psu, confirm the 24-pin eps(cpu) cables are securely attached, inspect your front panel connections, and/or test by shorting the power pins with a screwdriver.
I installed the power supply correctly, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to fit it in. I’ve tested several outlets, but it still won’t turn on. I’m not sure if I should listen for fan noise or just silence, since I’m hearing nothing at all.
The device is designed for minimal noise, sometimes making it hard to detect its operation. Today's power supplies often delay activating fans until required, which can affect quiet performance.
one of the connectors on the 20-port plug for the motherboard appears to have a missing part, possibly due to a factory issue. The cables are sold in a package, so no visible gaps or obstructions were noticed on the board itself.
